Odd-one-out worksheets
Look at each row. Circle the picture that is different. Choose worksheet options below.
How to use this worksheet
- Look across one row and name or point to its pictures.
- Find the picture that differs from the others.
- Circle it and ask the child to explain or point out the difference.
Choose your practice
Choose three, four or five pictures in each row. Choose a different picture/shape or a different size. Size practice repeats the same picture and colour with exactly one larger or smaller item. Outline and pre-coloured modes are available.
Compare two pictures side by side if the child is unsure what is different.
Changing the practice level creates a fresh version. For another sheet at the same level, use the New practice sheet button. Save the settings link or add the sheet to a pack to keep that version. Tracing keeps the same correct forms and varies their arrangement or path lengths.
Age guidance is approximate. Print on A4 or US Letter paper. Choose outlines to save ink or pre-coloured pictures to start the activity without colouring. The instructor key follows the same worksheet options and paper size.
